Pool Party!

Liz, along with Jencen and Jenny (two Canadian volunteers in the DR for 2 weeks) took the girls of the Girls Club to a pool party, and Natalie, Yenni, and Alani were able to attend! Natalie is in the pink bathing suit, Yenni is in the blue bathing suit, and Alani is in the white bathing suit.

Their House

The girls live in a two storey house with their large extended family. They rent the house, and part of the house is rented out to other people (although currently is vacant). On the bottom floor the grandmother lives with other extended family members. The picture, below, of the bed is on the bottom floor. Yenni and Natalie ususally share this bed. The top floor, where I take the video, is usually where the rest of the family sleeps- the mother, father, Lorani, Alani, and the two little boys. When the father is not home, Yenni and Natalie sleep in the big bed upstairs. But for the most part, the mother sleeps in that room with her four kids.

The Family

The four girls are pictured with Lorani and Alani's mother (Yenni and Natalie's aunt). Their two little brothers are not pictured.
