Kind of goofy and silly Lorani is so much fun! She has a big toothy grin and laughs all the time!

The summer is halfway over and we can barely believe it! It's been so busy this summer and we're all having such a great time spending so much time at the club with the kids! We've added new classes, added more time to be in the club daily, and the kids couldn't be happier! Here is Lorani just hanging out at the club one day after classes!

We're having a wonderful summer!

Halloween

Dove was able to get a huge donation of Halloween costumes and threw a giant party for the kids on the afternoon of Halloween, during Saturday Boys and Girls Club. The kids, as you can see, had a blast!

Alani: Salon Work

One of the longer term goals for Dove is to teach the kids vocations so that as they grow older, they can support their families. These older girls are interested in working in a salon. Conveniently, there is one located right near the Center. The girls are very excited to learn how to work in a salon, as you can see from their big smiles! Alani will take part in this program.

Natalie and Yenni

We are sad to say that Natalie and Yennifer will no longer be a part of DOVE Missions. They have moved to Santo Domingo where their mother lives, and are there studying. We are not positive if this is a permanent move, or if they will be back and living with their Aunt again in the future. However, for the time being, only Alani and Lorani from this family will be attending the Club and benefitting from the sponsorship program. We hope to see the girls back again one day, but we also think it is great that they are living with their Mother.

Pool Party!

Liz, along with Jencen and Jenny (two Canadian volunteers in the DR for 2 weeks) took the girls of the Girls Club to a pool party, and Natalie, Yenni, and Alani were able to attend! Natalie is in the pink bathing suit, Yenni is in the blue bathing suit, and Alani is in the white bathing suit.
